WHAT THIS POLICY COVERS

This policy explains which personal data I process when you visit dandah.ch or buy from my shop, why I do it and what rights you have. It follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies to visitors from the EU, the GDPR. I only collect data that I need to run the website and to ship your orders.

HOSTING AND SERVER LOGS

This website is hosted by Squarespace. When you visit, Squarespace processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed and time of access in order to deliver and secure the site. Squarespace may process this data in the USA and other countries.

ORDERS, PAYMENT AND SHIPPING

When you order, I process your name, delivery and billing address, email address and the details of your order. I use this data to handle the contract, ship your order with Swiss Post or another carrier, send order confirmations and answer questions about your order. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and I do not see or store them. I keep order records for as long as Swiss accounting law requires, which is usually ten years.

CONTACT

If you write to me via the contact form or email, I process your name, email address and your message to answer you. I delete these messages once the matter is closed, unless I must keep them by law.

My newsletter is run on Substack. If you subscribe, you do so on Substack and your data is processed by Substack under its own privacy policy. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email.

COOKIES AND ANALYTICS

This website uses cookies that are necessary for basic functions such as the shopping cart and checkout. With your consent, I also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are viewed and from which country visitors come. Analytics cookies are only set after you accept them in the cookie banner. You can decline them, or change your choice at any time with the Cookie Preferences button on the website. Google may process analytics data in the USA.

FONTS

This website loads fonts from Adobe Fonts. For this, your browser connects to Adobe servers and your IP address is transmitted to Adobe.

LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES

This website links to Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Substack and other external sites. Once you follow such a link, the privacy policy of that provider applies. I have no influence on how they process data.

DISCLOSURE ABROAD

Some of the service providers named above, such as Squarespace, Stripe, Google, Adobe and Substack, process data in the USA or other countries outside Switzerland and the EU. Where required, this happens on the basis of an adequacy decision, for example the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework, or standard contractual clauses.

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to access the data I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing and to receive it in a common format. Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use these rights, contact me via the contact form on the About page or by email. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

I may update this policy when the website or the law changes. The current version is always the one published on this page.
